Great easy digestiom recipes but wish there were more specific steps
Personally, i still have my gallbladder but I got this looking for meals that are really easy on the stomach due to the other condition I have. This has a lot of really great recipes. I wish there were larger images because i really love a visual cook book, but the trade off is more recipes I guess. Although the gallbladder part wasnt for me, i really liked how it had color coded recipes for gallbladder surgery recovery for how soon after you could eat each recipe and it would be easier on you. The only thing I didnt like was the lack of clear instructions. Im still a moatly novice cook, so i like precise instructions or I get anxiety. A bit of trhe instructions didnt have timing like, bake until edges are crispy, but id absolutely love an average time to go along with that visual marker! Besides that, i really liked thee book.
Very practical after surgery
What I liked most is that this book doesn't just say "eat low fat" and leave it at that. The phased approach makes it much easer to understand when different foods can be added back in, which takes away a lot of the guesswork. The recipes are simple, the fat counts are useful, and the full-color photos are a nice touch. Overall, it feels practical and easy to use.
A Practical Cookbook with a Beautiful Layout
After having my gallbladder removed, I was looking for recipes that would make everyday meals easier. I like the phase-based approach, and the overall layout of the book is excellent. The color-coded system makes it very easy to follow, and the design is clean and inviting.
