Practical, reassuring, and genuinely useful
What I appreciated most about this workbook is that it didn't make me feel there is something wrong with me for experiencing anxiety in relationships. Instead, it helped me understand where those reactions may come from and, more importantly, what I can actually do when they show up. Such as naming the state, which I found to be really effective. For me, the practical approach makes the material easy to apply to everyday situations. The questions, exercises and journaling prompts encouraged me to slow down and look honestly at my own patterns, which was actually helpful.
a (fruitful) pause between worry & reaction
OK so for me, the big thing here is really the difference between what actually happened and what we suddenly fear it means ! An unanswered message can so easily become this whole story about rejection in your head. I really liked how the workbook links that pattern to reflection questions & exercises , including how to say what you need without making it sound like an "accusation" . The idea is not to become less sensitive or more distant, but just a bit more aware of what’s happening before reacting. And I think that’s a really important distinction when talking about relationship anxiety !
